...those phone numbers you could call and play them a bit of a tune and it would identify them were an impressive feat - Check out songtapper.com. You tap the rhythm of a melody and it comes up with a shortlist of possibilities. It takes a while but my test case (Livin' on a Prayer) came top of the list. Having said that, considering the other items on the shortlist (Summer of '69 (Bryan Adams), Neighbours Theme (Reg Grundy)), I could canceive that it just spews out a list of the most likely tunes people are going to test it with.
